MOST COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: What is the minimum age to rent this home?

A: The minimum age of the primary renter is 30 years old. This is true for all our homes and there are no exceptions. This applies to prom, graduation, and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Q: Is smoking permitted?

A: No.

Q: Are pets allowed?

A: Yes.

Q: Does the house have air conditioning?

A: Yes, there is a window unit and a wall unit. There are also window fans.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes.

Q: Are towels provided?

A: No.

Q: Does the property have a fire pit? Am I allowed to have a fire outdoors?

A: Yes, there is a fire pit. Please make sure a burn ban isn't in place before you start a fire.

Q: Will the GPS take me to the house or will I need directions?

A: The GPS will take you right to the house!

Q: Is there parking at the house? How many cars can we park?

A: Yes, there is a private driveway and can accommodate a maximum of 4 cars. If you will have more than that, please call.

Q: When is check-in?

A: 4:00 PM

Q: When is check-out?

A: 11:00 AM

Q. What will I need to bring?

A: We start every rental off with a starter supply of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), 1 roll of paper towels for kitchen, garbage bag in kitchen trash can, hand soaps in bathrooms and kitchen (pump or bar), dishwashing soap (pump), dishwasher and laundry pods (in moderation) and hand towels in kitchen and bath. You will need to bring more for if/when you run out.

Q: What do I do with the trash?

A: This community has a Central garbage drop off.  You will receive more information on location and open hours in your guest book you will receive prior to your arrival.  

Q: Do I have access to community amenities?

A: Yes, this home is within a community you have access to its amenities. Please follow this link for more information on the amenities available.

DEER LAKE/LAKE WALLENPAUPACK INFORMATION

Q: Is the home lakefront?

A: Yes this house is on Deer Lake which is a non-motor boating lake in Wallenpaupack Lake Estates.  Non motorized water craft is allowed.  This includes electric motors.  

Q: Can I bring/rent a powerboat?

A: Wallenpaupack Lake Estates has access to Lake Wallenpaupack and you can bring a boat and launch from the community launch but can not leave in the water overnight.  There is room to park the boat at the house when you are not using it.  

Q: What size boat can I bring?

A:   Deer Lake is a NON-POWERBOAT lake. There is access to the larger powerboat lake in the community and there is no restriction on boat size or motor size on that lake.

Q: Can you swim in the lake?

A: YES! Every lake in the area - big or small, private or public - is safe to swim in. If there is a dock, you can swim off the dock.

HOUSE INFORMATION

Q: How many beds are there? What sizes are they?

A: 8 beds: 7 twins, 1 queen.

Q: How many bathrooms are there?

A: 2 full: 1 shower and 1 tub shower.  We also have an outdoor shower.  

Q: How many TVs are there? What size are they?

A: 2 flatscreen TVs: 1 - 42’ and 1 - 18’.

Q: What Entertainment options does the house have?

A: We want your vacation at our rental properties to be as comfortable and fun as possible. We provide a lot of options for entertainment such as Smart TV, Video Games, Video/ VHS,a DVD Player, a Stereo, a BluRay Player, WiFi, and HDMI Ports. 

Q: What other options for activities does this house have?

A: This house has various board games for a great Family Game Night!

Q: What Appliances and Supplies does the Kitchen have?

A: To ensure our property has a homey feel for you and your family to feel comfortable, we make sure to stock the kitchen with basic supplies. This house has a:

Q: What other amenities does this house have?

A: This property also has a Washing Machine, Dryer,  Vacuum Cleaner, and a Hair Dryer. 

Q: How many does the dining room table sit?

A: 6 but we have additional folding chairs.  The deck picnic table seats 10 and screened porch picnic table seats 8.  

Q: How many does the living room sit?

A: 6 in the living room upstairs  and there is room for additional chairs (provided) if needed, 7 in the family room downstairs and 6 out on the screen porch.

Q: Does the house have a fireplace / wood stove?

A: Yes, there is a propane fireplace and a wood stove.  

Q: Do we have to bring our own wood?

A: No, you won't need to purchase or bring your own wood if you intend to use the outdoor fire pit or wood stove.

Q: What kind of grill does the property have?

A: Propane.

Q: Do we need to bring propane?

A: No, that is always included in our homes.

Q: Are there water toys/ life jackets/ beach chairs available?

A: Yes, there are two kayaks and a row boat, fishing equipment and various size life jackets and beach chairs are provided.  We also have various inflatable rafts and floats.
