Holiday Mansion Tours

Grey Towers National Historic Site will offer guided holiday tours of all three floors of the decorated mansion from Monday, Dec. 3 through Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at 1 pm and 3 pm. The 1886 mansion will once again be decorated by the Milford Garden Club. On Saturday, Dec. 15 at 11 am, there will be a free holiday musical performance by students of the Delaware Valley School District. In addition to the guided Holiday Tours, visitors can enjoy a Holiday Photography Exhibit featuring photographs by members of the Pike Imaging Council, all depicting Grey Towers, the landscape, and forests or trees. The Grey Towers Interpretive Gift Shop is open from December 3-16 offering a 20% discount on most items. The shop includes unique holiday gift items provided by Eastern National Forests Interpretive Association and the Grey Towers Heritage Association. Holiday luncheon at the historic 1795 Stroud Mansion

The Monroe County Historical Association will host the annual Holiday Luncheon at the Stroud Mansion fundraiser on Saturday, December 15, 2018.  The Early Lunch seating will be held at 11:00 a.m. and guests may dine until 12:30 p.m. and the Late Lunch seating will be held at 1:00 pm and guests may dine until 2:30 pm.

The Holiday Luncheon will be held on the second floor of the 1795 Stroud Mansion, 900 Main Street, Stroudsburg. Please note this event will take place in the second-floor meeting room of a historic structure, which is not handicap accessible. The Stroud Mansion will be decorated for the holidays and guests attending the luncheon are welcome to tour the museum. Local musicians Erin McClelland and Andrew Moses will provide seasonal music adding to the holiday atmosphere.

The luncheon will be a hot buffet-style meal catered by Dave Cook of The Cook’s Corner Restaurant, Henryville, Pa. This year’s menu will feature: Fresh baby greens salad with black raspberry vinaigrette; Chicken breast roulade; leek and honey crisp apple stuffing with a sweet wine demi glace sauce; herb seasoned layered potatoes with onions and cream; roasted maple brown sugar butternut squash; fresh baked rolls with whipped honey butter; and a wonderful selection of homemade desserts. Coffee, decaf, tea, and a complimentary glass of wine, will be served at each table.

The cost for the luncheon fundraiser is $25.00 per person. Tickets must be purchased at the Stroud Mansion, 900 Main Street in downtown Stroudsburg.  Please get your tickets early; seating is extremely limited for this popular event.
